ಚಂದ್ರಚೂಡ ಶಿವಶಂಕರ ಪಾರ್ವತಿ ರಮಣ ನಿನಗೆ ನಮೋ ನಮೋ || ಪ ||
Chandra Chooda Shiva Shankara Parvati Ramaṇa Nimage Namo Namo || P ||
Translation:
Salutations to you, O Lord Shankara, who adorns the moon as a crest, and who is the beloved of Parvati.
Verse 2:
ಸುಂದರ ಮೃಗಧರ ಪಿನಾಕ ಧನುಕರ ಗಂಗಾಶಿರ ಗಜಚರ್ಮಾಂಬರಧರ || ಅ ಪ ||
Sundara Mrigadhara Pinaka Dhanukara Gangaashira Gajacharmaambaradhara || A Pa ||
Translation:
O Beautiful One, who holds the Pinaka (the bow), and who adorns the Ganges as a crown, wearing an elephant's skin.
Verse 3:
ನಂದಿವಾಹನಾನಂದದಿಂದ ಮೂಜಗದಿ ಮೆರವೆ ನೀನೇ
Nandivahanananda-dinda Mūjagadi Merave Nīne
Translation:
You, who bring joy to Nandi, the carrier of Shiva, and who is gloriously celebrated with joyous music.
Verse 4:
ಅಂದು ಅಮೃತ ಘಟದಿಂದುದಿಸಿದ ವಿಷ ತಂದು ಭುಜಿಸಿದವ ನೀನೇ
Andu Amrita Ghata Dinudisida Vishatanadu Bhujisida Nāne
Translation:
On that day when you consumed the poison from the Amrita (nectar) pot, you are the one who protected.
Verse 5:
ಕಂದರ್ಪನ ಕ್ರೋಧದಿಂದ ಕಣ್ತೆರೆದು ಕೊಂದ ಉಗ್ರನು ನೀನೇ
Kandarpana Krodhadinthakandateredu Kondu Ugranu Nīne
Translation:
You are the fierce one who opened your third eye, annihilating the god of love and anger.
Verse 6:
ಇಂದಿರೇಶ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮನ ನಾಮವ ಚಂದದಿ ಪೊಗಳುವ ನೀನೇ
Indiresha Sri Rāmana Nāmava Chanda Di Pogaluvane Nīne
Translation:
O Indiresa, you are the one who reverberates the name of Lord Rama melodiously.
Verse 7:
ಬಾಲಮೃಕಂಡನ ಕಾಲನು ಎಳೆವಾಗ ಪಾಲಿಸಿದವ ನೀನೇ
Bala Mrigakandanu Elēvāga Pālisi Nāne
Translation:
In the form of the young hunter, you protected when the Lord was lured by Bala.
Verse 8:
ಕಾಲಕೂಟವ ಪಾನಮಾಡಿದ ನೀಲಕಂಠನು ನೀನೇ
Kālakūṭa Vapānamāḍida Nīlakanṭhanu Nīne
Translation:
You are the one who drank the Kalakuta poison and adorned a blue throat.
Verse 9:
ವಾಲಯದಿ ಕಪಾಲ ಪಿಡಿದು ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡೋ ದಿಗಂಬರ ನೀನೇ
Vālayadi Kapāla Piḍidu Bhikshe Bedo Digambara Nīne
Translation:
You, who crushed the skull with a garland and roamed naked, begging for alms.
Verse 10:
ಜಾಲ ಮಾಡಿದ ಗೋಪಾಲನೆಂಬೊ ಹೆಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮರುಳಾದವನೇ || ೨ ||
Jāla Māḍida Gōpālannembo Heṇṇige Marulaadavanae || 2 ||
Translation:
You, who enchanted the gopis (milkmaids) and became the beloved of a girl named Gopala.
Verse 11:
ಧರೆಗೆ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕಾವೇರಿತೀರ ಕುಂಭಪುರವಾಸನು ನೀನೇ
Dharēge Dakshiṇa Kāveritīra Kumbhapuravāsanu Nīne
Translation:
You dwell on the southern banks of the sacred Kaveri River in Kumbhapura.
Verse 12:
ಕರದೊಳು ವೀಣೆಯ ಗಾನವ ಮಾಡೊ ಉರಗಭೂಷಣನು ನೀನೇ
Karadōlu Vīṇe Ya Gānavā Māḍo Urababhūṣaṇanu Nīne

You, who play the Veena with your hands and are adorned with snake ornaments.

ಕೊರಳಲಿ ಭಸ್ಮ ರುದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಧರಿಸಿದ ಪರಮ ವೈಷ್ಣವನು ನೀನೆ
Kōraḷali Bhāsma Rudrākṣi Dharisida Parama Vaiṣṇavanu Nīne

You wear Rudraksha beads on your neck, adorning yourself as a devout Vaishnava.

ಗರುಡಗಮನ ಶ್ರೀ ಪುರಂದರವಿಠಲಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಪ್ರಿಯನು ನೀನೆ || ೩||
Garuḍagamana Shrī Puraṇdaravithalage Prāṇapriyanu Nīne || 3 ||
